NUBIAN ROSE is a band with the roots in the 80’s hard, but melodic hard rock. The unique sound of their music has a lot to do with their phenomenal singer Sofia Lilja, famous vocal coach from Swedish TV4-show Idol. She’s got a tone like Ann Wilson of Heart, an attitude like Debbie Harry of Blondie and feelings like the Queen of Soul herself; Aretha Franklin. Sofia is explosive and in total control of the stage and of the audience. Her roots are in soul and classical music, but combined with the wonderful world of HARD ROCK something great is happening. NUBIAN ROSE is a six-piece band with Thomas Lindgren and Christer Åkerlund on lead guitars, Henric Uhrbom on bass, Fredrik Åkerlund on keyboards and David Algesten on drums. NUBIAN ROSE have just finish recording their debut album; MOUNTAIN, which will be released in mid-April. MOUNTAIN is mixed by Sweden’s greatest producer/mixer on the genre of Hard rock, winner of two Grammis, TOBIAS LINDELL. Over the last few years he has built himself a massive reputation while working with bands like; Mustasch, Europe, CrashDiet, Bullet, Hardcore Superstars, HEAT, amongst many, many, others. He has truly made the NUBIAN ROSE debut album sound fantastic. The world famous guitar superhero and former member of Europe, Kee Marcello, is making a guest appearance on the album, so does also Mats Levén, one of the finest vocals in the world of hard rock and former singer of Yngwie Malmsteen’s band, Therion, Krux and Swedish Erotica.
