Storyteller began as recorded duet sessions with Celloist and friend Jordan Cleaver. After listening back, I began writing music that could compliment the duet material, ranging from analog synth driven pieces, to clarinet interludes, and a few pieces include parts for electric piano. The concept for the album kind of evolved through writing in this way: some came out of duet sessions with Jordan, others in my bedroom; at home, with the instruments and means that I had.
