Made for the Violent Age
Although Thrash Metal originally came out of the Bay Area, there has always been a longstanding tradition for the genre in Germany. Ever since the early eighties bands such as Kreator, Holy Moses, Destruction or Sodom have been able to establish themselves in the international scene and put the stamp of ?made in Germany? to this musical direction. Alongside these, comes the band Delirious from Hamm in the Northern Rhine Westfalia district, who have themselves since the early nineties become more and more a focus of interest, and have been able to put themselves easily in the same technical league. With their extraordinarily dynamic Thrash Metal, consisting of robust grooves, bitchy guitar riffs and the unmistakeable voice of the frontman Markus Betty` Bednarek, there is no doubt that they have the stuff to go onto a successful international carrier. Now along with a new deal through ?Armageddon Music? they are presenting their third album Made For The Violent Age and the sign that Delirious are delivering is that they are coming with a storm! Without any unnecessary ceremony, the band comes straight to the point with Made For The Violent Age and hold the gripping tempo consequently through to the last note. Just the mix of hardness along with compositional cleverness make this album a new Thrash Metal pearl of the highest quality. Even with the band?s rabid procedures they never miss an eye for detail, Delirious cleverly vary the tempo and hardness in the songs without losing any intensity or credibility. The fact of the matter is: Made For The Violent Age not only shows that they have unstoppable fun playing but also have compositional matureness and technical know-how. It can be felt with Made For The Violent Age, that 2006 is going to be a special year for Delirious. They received a positive surprise in the early summer of 2004 whilst playing at the open air festival of the Metal magazine ?Rock Hard?, here they showed that they could impress as much as the other more famous bands. In early 2005 they went on tour with their friends and collegues Desaster around eastern Europe, taking this energy then straight back to their own ? Ragers Elite Studio? to record the third album. In other words: The Thrash Metal that comes on made For The Violent Age could never be more authentic.
