What Comes Natural to a Fool
Texas born and raised, Landon Dodd has carved out a unique nitch in the Traditional Country Music business. Playing the dance halls, honky tonks and bars throughout his entire life, Landon knows what a great country songs sounds like and proves that in "What Comes Natural To A Fool." In choosing material for his second CD, Landon dug deep into the catalog of some of his favorite entertainers including Mel Tillis for the title track, Skeets McDonald for "Same Old Town and "Mable, Merle Haggard for "Our Paths May Never Cross", Cindy Walker for "Excuse Me" and Ronnie Milsap for "I'm Still Not Over You." Landon also contributed a self written song in "All They Serve In Here Is Misery." "I won a talent contest in Ft. Worth," Landon recalls. "In the next round, I was given extra points if we performed a self penned song. So I went home and wrote 'All They Serve In Her Is Misery'." Co producer Jake Hooker contributed "Because of You." Hooker wrote that song with his wife Sheila and sister Kacey Hooker. L
