I have seen the Apache Relay perform twice live and honest to goodness it's two of the best shows I have ever been too. I'm not a music critic, nor am I as studious in the arts as some, but I know a good sound when I hear it. The Apache Relay is a fantastic band with a "Groovy" sound. Their first album I have listened to hours upon hours on repeat and it's the most calming thing, yet exhilarating when ever the lead guitarist begins his licks on songs like "State Trooper" or "Can't Wake Up." Well I pre-ordered the CD that is up coming and "Katie:Queen of Tennessee" is again a perfect blend of new and old. The doo-wopesque sound produced by them gives the track a perfect party filler track to allow people to move, or simply a driving anthem to have when you hit the road. Either way, I'm excited to see what the other tracks hold.
