I wrote this after reading a ton of articles ripping "Bro Country." I consider myself PRO-Country. I love it ALL. As a super-fan, obviously I get how we grow tired of hearing the same old phrases all the time. But as a country girl transplanted to the city, I also get how it's those "things" that my heart aches for when I'm homesick. Plus, the story about my grand dad stressed how this "new country" that "wasn't country anymore" is totally true. So I defend. And sort of make fun of. And overall just speak my mind.
