The Armada riddim EP was produced by Back2life Records and StarrVybz Entertainment who carefully selected and recorded the talented artists who feature. The Vocals were recorded in several locations and the project was then brought back to our studios, where it was mixed. It was then given approval by both parties for its release. The artist who feature are some of the UK's hottest (current and past) reggae artists including General Levy, Sparky (AKA 'The rugged')& Leila Rose, Tenna Star, Hya P, One Famous, and Tiny(Ofke). The name 'Armada' means 'Great and most fortunate'. The name was given to a fleet of 130 ships sent from Spain against England, under the the command of the Duke of Medina Sidonia in 1588. The fleet was forced to retreat whilst it awaited command, due to an English fireship fleet attack. The 'Armada Riddim' (composed by Fifborn) was given its name because of the sound of its commanding but distant horns blowing over a powerful but steady sea of Rhythm (imagine the sound of commanding horns coming from the Armada fleet, whilst they sail the seas!). The artists on this rhythm were selected to complement the concept in their own style.
