Tonico E Tinoco
Tonico e Tinoco are a Brazilian musica sertaneja duo and claimed to be the most famous and prolific one. Formed by the siblings Tonico (João Salvador Perez - São Manuel, São Paulo, March 2, 1917 – 1994) and Tinoco (José Perez, Botucatu, São Paulo, November 19, 1920 – São Paulo, May 4, 2012). They were named "A Dupla Coração do Brasil" ("The Brazilian Heart Duo"), making more than 40,000 professional presentations since 1935 until 1994, recording more than 1,000 songs and selling around 100-150 million albums,[citation needed] despite never performing outside of Brazil.\r Their first successful single is "Chico Mineiro", which was released in 1946.\r Tonico died in 1994.\r Tinoco died on May 4, 2012, in São Paulo, due to complications after respiratory failure. He was 91 years old.
