Henning B., the man behind the Afternova project, comes from a musical family where playing music and composition are daily activities. Henning focused early on the composition part of music and started creating music over 13 years ago. Today, he is best known for his trance tracks including 'By Your Side', 'Serenity', 'Sunset in Dubai', 'Tranquility' and 'Into The Sky'. The tracks were supported heavily in the trance scene, and made the Afternova name known among trance listeners. However, not everybody knows that Henning's main musical style is in fact film music and to some extent classical music. His style resembles that of composers from the romantic period, and is characterised by strong emotional melodies. Henning states that melodies are the most important thing in music. This can also be witnessed when listening to his tracks; his scores in particular. Another evident characteristic of Henning's compositional style is his broad use of counter melodies.
