Leslie Winer
Leslie Winer is a musician and poet best known for her album Witch[1] which was originally released on a white label vinyl in London 1991. John Peel played some tracks off this white label and the record went on to become a small cult-classic prompting NME to refer to Winer as The Grandmother of Triphop, She had recorded a couple of 12" vinyls previously under the name along with co-writer Karl Bonnie from Renegade Soundwave.\r \r Winer occasionally records music with Swedish composer Carl Michael von Hausswolff and others. She lives in France and is currently acting as co-editor for the estate of Herbert Huncke.
