Alfred Mouledous
Alfred Mouledous is professor of piano at the Meadows School of the Arts. He has been a faculty member at SMU for 46 years. During most of his tenure at SMU he also served as pianist for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Professor Mouledous earned the B.M., M.M., Performer's Certificate, and Artist Diploma from the Eastman School of Music, where he was a student of Cecile Genhart. He was also a scholarship student of Walter Gieseking in Saarbruechen and at Alfred Cortot in Paris. Mouledous has performed numerous solo and chamber recitals throughout the United States and has performed concerti with many major orchestras, collaborating with conductors such as Georg Solti, Erich Leinsdorf, Howard Hanson, Eduardo Mata, Paul Paray, Paul Kletzki, and Donald Johanos. He has recorded for Mercury and Envoy Records and performed in concert on radio (WWL) and television (NBC).
