Johnny Parry's now even more formidable ensemble return to the Union Chapel for another extravaganza of music and film. Expect grand gestures of love and death, expressed in an all consuming orchestral spectacle. Fully armed with strings, woodwind, brass, opera singers, and percussion, the chamber orchestra weave between the defly intimate and epically joyous grandeur of Johnny's compositions. As if not immersive enough, this romantically dark song-writing will duet with a backdrop of bespoke films made by international artist Andy Holden Their last visit to The Union Chapel in 2009 was to unveil their album'More Love and Death'. They now return to unbosom 'Fields & Birds &Things', a retrospective album based on the aforementioned. Even more so than its predecessor, 'Fields & Birds & Things is already building up a whirlwind of critical praise.
