Dialectrix (born Ryan Leaf) is an Australian hip hop artist from the Blue Mountains. He was a member of Down Under Beats Crew (DUB Crew) and since 2008 has been in Gully Platoon. He works as a labourer when not emceeing and keeps his musical alter ego secret from work colleagues, initially due to the reception of being known as a hip hop emcee prior to hip hop becoming popular in Australia.[1] He was introduced to hip hop via skate culture whilst growing up.
