Colossos (ex-bass) quit halfway through the production of this album to pursue his own interests. Spectral played several shows without a bassist when Colossos left, but Agressor joined the band shortly following. Spectral went into Gernhart Studios to record "Barbaric Assault", and received help from Dutch guitarist Martjo Brongers (Vortex (Hol)) as a guest musician on the album.
