Now Eddi Projex stands in the forefront to represent Oakland, California. \r Eddi P’s lyrical style and ever-flowing format was heavily influenced by Numskull of The Luniz, and Money B of Digital Underground. Eddi P was given the opportunity to tour with Numskull and Digital Underground at the age of sixteen. Eddi P’s talent was recognized by Oakland icon Money B, who decided to put him on stage as his hype man after watching Eddi P freestyle backstage. So The Luniz and Digital Underground decided to take him on tour hyping the crowds in venues in New York, Los Angeles and throughout the U.S. \r Eddi P received big recognition for his feature on the success hit “Drank-A-Lot” video which also featured Money B and Numbskull. The video was featured on BET’s “Uncut Top Ten Videos” show and reached the Number #3 position behind hit makers 50 Cents with “Disco Inferno”, at the Number #2 position and Nelly’s “Tip Drill” video at the Number #1 position. \r In 2001 Eddi P formed the rap trio “The Hittaz on da Payroll”. Together they released two well received albums, “Underground Like Dead People, PT. 1” followed by “Ghetto Storm: Presented by Numskull of the da Luniz”. After success with “The Hittaz on da Payroll” Eddi Projex was ready to make the ultimate artist decision, to showcase himself as a solo artist.
