It wove music, words and images into a rich tapestry that satisfied every part of you – visceral, poetic, intellectual. Rabbit Rabbit Radio is independent music in a digital world made smart and sexy for nerds and aficionados like you. Rabbit Rabbit comes from a tradition in New England, inherited from Old England, that if “rabbit rabbit” is the first thing to cross your lips on the first morning of each month, you and yours will jump into the future with good fortune and a renewed sense of possibility. Rabbit Rabbit Radio is our musical manifestation of this monthly mantra. We are Carla Kihlstedt & Matthias Bossi. We’ve been making music together and apart for decades (Tin Hat, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, 2 Foot Yard, The Book of Knots, Fred Frith’s Cosa Brava, Skeleton Key, Causing a Tiger, etc.) Collectively we’ve made music with Tom Waits, Pretty Lights, St. Vincent, Tracy Chapman, John Vanderslice, A Storm of Light, Mr. Bungle, Sasha Dobson, Fred Frith, and Madeleine Peyroux. Our song-writing duo is called Rabbit Rabbit and we release our songs, one at a time on the first day of every month, here at Rabbit Rabbit Radio. HOW Rabbit Rabbit Radio works: As an RRR subscriber, you can sign into the site on or after the first day of each month, to find a new song along with thoughtfully crafted and curated photos, films, and words that invite you to go deeper into the song and the creative process behind it.
